Exercise—it is recommended that we get at least 30 minutes of physical exercise each day. It can be anything from a leisurely walk to running 3 miles. Yoga, riding your bike and cardio work outs are good weight loss exercise ideas as well. Regular exercise will not only help you lose weight but it can help you live a longer life.
Fruits and vegetables—this is a no-brainer really. Any one who watches TV, reads the paper or surfs the Internet has seen the topics about getting more fruits and vegetables in our diets. They are healthy weight loss foods and they are low in calories, which makes them an excellent addition to your menu plan.
No bad fats—olive oil seems to be the fat of choice for a healthy diet. Even though it is a healthier choice, you still need to be careful not to get too much. Certain types of fish, like Salmon. are also recommend as a good fat source and fish contains Omega 3 fatty acids which are beneficial in so many ways.
Stress—is a major factor when it comes to our diet and our health. Stressful situations tend to make us eat more and often the foods we choose to ease stress are sugar and fat laden.
